Packing It Up

Today I was reading this tongue in cheek feature in the Washington City paper about their rocky transition toward teh interwebs where the editors bemoaned their difficulty attracting readers despite award winning journalism. Naturally, I can relate. No, but seriously, what’s funny is that when checking my dashboard today, I noticed I had an incoming link from the Washington City Paper. Curious, I followed the link, and sure enough, I’m referenced as being one of several “Bloggers sound[ing] off on local races.” Anyway, I was quite honored to receive my first link from a legitimate alt-weekly newspaper, but I’m compelled by honesty to report the link didn’t translate into a single page view. Of course, I hardly mean to sound ungrateful. Indeed, it occurs to me that part of the reason I failed to get any clicks is that “Yes, Let’s Talk About This” looks really stupid out of context. As such, I hope to be moving to less .wordpress.com-ed pastures, and with it, adopting a new moniker. I’ll be thinking, but if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to drop some in comments.

L’Shana Tovah

Happy New Year to all fellow members of the tribe, or even anyone who’s considering a change. There are lots of upsides. Burning vacation days for religious observance is not one of them.

Anyway, I’ll be getting my Jew on for most of the day. I’ll put in a good word for the bailout.

Let Me Come to You

My Silicon Valley brother informed me that a lot of people might prefer reading this blog in their RSS readers, as opposed to schlepping all the way over to the blog itself. This of course, relies on the assumption that anyone actually wants to read this blog, and not merely humor me. Nevertheless, I am now available for your direct consumption via RSS. Click the link on the top right of the page to subscribe.
